Lily loves my workplace
She loves to go into the office with me and since I am going to put her through another experience at the vets this Friday getting three more teeth pulled in addition to the four she had pulled nearly three weeks ago, I thought I would butter her up a bit so she wouldn't start to shy away from car rides.
She spends the entire workday wandering to everyone's office, sitting on their laps, getting petted and begging for food. It's definitely doggy heaven for her. Today when I tried to leave she refused to come over to me to put her leash on because she would never leave her version of heaven. Obviously the people stay there all night long and will never tire of giving her love.
I tried going to the back door, tried bribing her with a walk and then just sat and stared at her until she finally ambled over and let me put her leash on. It would have been so much easier to just train her to come when called. I am going to have to start working on that again. She just seems to know when she is wearing the leash I can actually grab hold of if she doesn't listen versus when she is not wearing the leash and can run quickly under chairs where I can't reach her.
Ah well, maybe I will improve with the next dog...or perhaps I will find a fabulous dog trainer who will just do it for me. I'm going to have to invite Julie to come visit. She can get dogs to do anything.
The plus is that after an entire day at the office she spends the evening curled up on the couch sleeping it off and dreaming of her next visit to the office.
