Not thwarted from scraping the garage
If it says it's going to rain, I think it should just rain so I could get out of scraping the garage to get it ready for paint. Yes, I would like to get it done, but it never seems as fun when I have to force myself to get started on it and wow is it hot outside. Seriously. Who knew the top of the knee could get sweaty. Now I know. The funny thing is, once I actually get started I sort of like it and I definitely like catching up with public radio podcasts. I'm also not overly efficient which means I take my sweet time scraping and then clean up is just taking the tarp of scraped paint and dropping it into the garbage can and putting the two scrapers into the garage. I think the sanding part is going to be the messiest and then I will be less lazy and just get it done.
The one thing I'm trying to figure out how to handle are the two wasps nests under the eaves of the garage. Do I remove them or hope that I can paint around them without pissing them off too much? I would be a lot more amenable to leaving them there if they were honey bees. Not sure why, but wasps seem mostly useless. Yes, they pollinate my plants, but they don't make delicious honey and they can sting over and over without dying. That seems useless to me. I might have to kill them. I really wouldn't want to get stung multiple times while trying to paint the garage.
