Endlessly Talking about Children

All my colleagues and friends have been asking me how it went with the kids this weekend and those with kids themselves were very satisfied to see me caught off guard with how much work it is. But all it took was a single night of sleep in my own bed without being woken very early in the morning to miss them desperately. To miss the way PJ says "decided" instead of "excited" and all the hugs Adaline gives. Also how much she and PJ both loved it when I would dive bomb her into her brother (without hurting either one I should add). It gave her an opportunity to fly through the air and get him for a second and him to feel like she really loved interacting with him. And then he couldn't love her too much as well - he told me that sometimes he loves her so much he just has to squeeze her really hard which is not her favorite way of being loved. So I miss them. It was nice heading over to Becca's last night and seeing Maura smile and Colin tell me that he and PJ played fire truck. Even with all the work I think I'm going to have to get some of my own kids sometime in the near future.
