I Almost Lost Another Set of Eyeglasses this Morning

Because I was stupid enough to leave them on the ottoman last night while watching t.v.. Lily was sleeping on my lap and I was certain I was far too paranoid to actually forget them there. So I did forget them there and this morning while reading emails I heard a certain sound which made me jump up and run over there in .5 seconds. At first I thought she had the rug making needle that I inherited from my great grandmother and is currently hidden under the rug I am making but every once in awhile Lily is able to fish out and I have to take it away and re-hide it. Imagine to my horror when I realize she has my eyeglasses in her mouth! My frantic no's actually freaked her out into dropping the glasses and then climbing into my lap to either comfort me or convince me not to take her to the taxidermist. Luckily she caused no damage to the glasses. Sometimes my idiocy really amazes me.
