Breakfast with Joe, Grammie and Grandpa

That's what I imagine Vivian is doing just about now. She died yesterday. Three months after her husband died, though the fact that he had died escaped her on most days and she wondered why he hadn't come to the nursing home yet. But now she can walk freely, speak and hear clearly and is with Joe again. The few years I got to know both Joe and Viv and I sort of thought of them as grandparents. Viv and my grandmother were very close and anyone my grandmother loved that much was ok in my book. And they were very kind to me. They fed and housed me when I came through the twin cities, got me involved in the family reunions which helped me get to know the whole, wonderful Peterson clan and told the best stories. I will miss them. I only hope I can be half as nice as they were.

Lori,
I'm so sorry to read about the death of Vivian. Give me a call sometime.
