Hey, It Got Cold
And determined to not let summer go, I wore sandals and no coat yesterday. Man, was I cold. I had to put on the old faithful hoodie sweatshirt and socks and tennis shoes as soon as I got home from work. Then, I tried making the roasted garlic butternut squash soup that I love so much from Zelo's. Closer, but not quite. I'm beginning to think their secret ingredient is illicit drugs that keeps me coming back for more. Saire and Susan came over and we went to SR Harris after dinner. Since I haven't been there in a while, I was pretty excited. I bought two types of corduroy, some cool pack cloth in orange and fabric for Saire's shirt (part of her birthday present that Beth and I got her). I am determined to sew everything up really soon so it doesn't just become part of the stash. It helps that I'm woefully short on trousers for winter, so that is where the corduroy is going...I think. It may also become a coat. I couldn't decide. I just had to buy. This is why I don't often go to SR Harris. I have this thing with purchasing fabric and then doing nothing with it. But I pick up the serger on Sunday. So that means I will sew all the fabric really soon. Right?
