Denver Diaries - The Fourth and Final Installment

Wow. It's taken me a long, long time to get my rear in gear and finish writing about Denver. This was our last day in Denver. We spent the morning finding out Saire was on a different flight from me, taking Beth's car to the garage to make sure it wasn't going to explode, and visiting the candy factory. We didn't have time to take a tour, but we did check out the store and we did buy candy. Really tasty rootbeer barrels, let me tell you. Oh wait, I just did.

The funniest part of the story was at the airport when we were checking in and Saire tried to convince the agent that her duffel bag was her purse because of her fear of checking items. Since I am totally lazy and losing my luggage would be a slight annoyance to lose the luggage and a nice opportunity to go shopping, I eagerly check my bags. I would have checked the case of rootbeer I was lugging around if I could have. We got to the airport early so Saire could try and get on my flight as a standby. It all worked out. My mom came and picked us up at the airport and we took Saire home and she brought me home. At this point I was happy to get in my own bed and looking forward to picking up the dog the next day. Lily was only slightly happy to see me and more interested in staying at Laura's house. She loves Laura.
