You Know What's Funny?
Looking at Amazon's shopping cart because you want to copy a piece of their functionality for a site you're working on and then you order your dad's father's day present...and a little something for yourself because you must have free shipping. I'm such a sucker. In 5-9 days I'll own Mansfield Park. I'm going to give up iTunes Wednesday this week to justify the expense. Woo hoo!
Also the re-design of their site makes me happy and the text for sending a wishlist to someone is amusing:
"Remember Wish Lists? As kids, we sweated bullets over filling our lists with stuff we might actually have some hope of receiving, and stuff our friends and family would never buy us. Well, I was visiting the Amazon.com site, and started my own Wish List. Check it out and then create one for yourself if you haven't already!"
It brought back memories of the well worn Sears toy catalog and writing down page numbers for items we rarely received (and for good reason I might add).
