No Ball Kicking
Kickball was canceled last night. Shocker. We decided to drink beers at Matt's instead which was an ok alternative. I do like beers. Especially cheap beers. I'm pretty sure our kickball team is going to rule this spring even though we typically suck really bad in spring. This year will be an exception, I'm sure.
Today I get to go to the dentist...again. I went yesterday to get the permanent crown put on and they had to file it down too much, so had to send it back to the lab to be re-glazed. My dentist said that if I didn't insist on having white crowns, it wouldn't be so hard. I told him I am not ready to be a pimp and would also like to disguise existing cavities in my mouth to look like normal teeth and therefore I must have white. It's simple and he has been able to pull it off each time I've needed a crown. He said the tooth next to it will need to be crowned soon. Hopefully not until after January when I have not almost met the limit for my insurance. Regardless, I will be putting money toward the tooth fund just in case. For some reason my teeth refuse to cooperate with insurance limits and deadlines. Selfish jerks. I have a love/hate relationship with my teeth. I could get them all pulled like my dad did, but the thought of not having my own teeth is a very distressing one for me. So I shell out the moola to take care of them and shell out more moola to get white caps and white fillings instead of gold and silver. When I lived in Scotland they used to comment about how great my teeth were, but one woman I worked with had no molars left. She had them all pulled. Think about that when considering national healthcare. They don't put a lot of bother in keeping teeth beautiful. Maybe I'll try to marry a dentist so I can have the most beautiful teeth ever. That would be nice.

I'm with you, though, on the white crowns. I've only had one, and it was at the U dental school, but there was never any discussion that I WOULDN'T have a white crown. They might have mentioned gold/silver, but only in light of the fact that I probably wouldn't want that given it was a front-ish tooth.
And they also did fine on the sanding part. I'm not happy with the spacing (I now have a wonderful space in which everything gets caught when I eat), but at least they never tried to get me to go with gold/silver.
