$99.95
Is what eight of us made at the garage sale last Saturday. For the amount of time I put in, I made $2 per hour. How depressing.
First let me say that it was the absolute worst day for a garage sale ever! In between spitting rain, steady rain, pouring rain and hail, I was cold, tired and crabby. The one thing that made me very happy was packing it all up and taking it to the thrift store. Then the very hot bath I took that evening.
At least I had good friends sharing my pain. It helped me have more of a sense of humor about the whole day.
The big highlight of the day was that these candles were the second thing that sold. Beth and I priced them at $4 because it was our experiment and the woman bought them for $4. We'll probably see her next on the antiques road show having them appraised at $16,000, but mom was glad to offload some of her knicknacks and I was amused that they went so quickly. And if that woman makes a crapload of money on them, then power to her.
