Janklow was convicted yesterday. I have to say I'm relieved that the senator from my home state didn't get away with murder. I've never liked that guy. Mostly because my mom met him a few times in her line of work and said he would say one thing to the press and another to the parties involved. You just can't have respect for someone who does that.

I'm reading Dude Where's my Country right now by Michael Moore. I just finished the chapter where he is thanking Bush for his huge tax cut and is planning on giving the surplus to any organization that will insure Bush is not re-elected. I just started the chapter where he suggests that Oprah should run for president. I think she would win.

Tonight I'm heading to Kieran's for a slam poetry event. After I take the dog to the vet to get her toenails clipped, that is. She's small, but wiggly and she won't let me near her with the toenail clippers. Plus, she loves the vet for some reason.
